WELCOME TO 2024 (DEMOCRACY’S VERSION)
The Issues on the Ballot in 2024 affect our families, our health, our safety, and our democracy.
Access to reproductive healthcare, affordable child care, and affordable and accessible healthcare, especially in our rural areas, are on the ballot. Inflation and living wages are on the ballot. Environmental Issues, especially PFAs, are a priority for our families' health, well-being, and safety. The fundamental freedom to make our own personal choices among our families, doctors, and other experts equipped to guide us in these choices without governmental interference is on the ballot. Accountability of our elected officials, protecting our right to vote, holding free and fair elections, and upholding the rule of law are on the ballot.
The Year of the Women
Women are front and center In 2024. Since Dobbs overturned Roe v. Wade, women and people who love the women In their lives are mad as hell and are ready to use their voices at the ballot box, on the streets, organizing, and, excitingly, on the ballot. Out of the 20 Seats across Federal and State elections that fall under the 8th Congressional District Umbrella, over 60% of the candidates running are women. Then there is the diversity among the candidates representing the LGBTQIA+ community, Veterans, Working Class, Non-politicians, and Single Moms, and that’s just the beginning.
Unity across the party is the spirit of 2024
2024 is an opportunity Wisconsin has not had for a very long time—the opportunity to elect new leaders to the State Legislature with New Fairer Maps. This opportunity will require teamwork among candidates, organizers, party leaders, and especially you—the volunteers and the voters. So, how can you help? Thanks for asking! We have lots of ways. And remember, even a little step on your part can start a chain reaction.

On May 14th, Gov. Evers announced a special election to fill the remainder of Mike Gallagher’s term In Congress in Wisconsin’s 8th Congressional District.
